Program: Magistracy PM
“I have always thought about my future, about building a career, becoming a successful person and generally finding my own path in the life. For that reason, I laid out a plan for achieving this long-term aim. After graduating as an Industrial engineer from Ecole Nationale Polytechnique of Algiers, I had a plan to enter one of the best universities for my master degree. My participation in PGLS (Preparing Global Leaders summit) Moscow 2014 guided me to discover one of the best universities in Russia, RANEPA. With the objective of improving my skills and ambitions to become an expert in international business, I decided to continue my post-graduate studies in a globally recognized program, and I chose the MSc in Project Management at RANEPA. In all honesty, the design and structure of this program has met my interest, it has given me a chance to learn more about Time, Cost, and Quality management. I have also been able to acquire knowledge in several very vital areas of management, such as Project Management, International marketing, Operations management, and Change management. In addition to all these fields in Management, we have also covered other subjects that provide the necessary tools to support our core management skills in making the best decisions. We have covered other areas like “Financial management” for multinational Companies, Data Management and statistical analysis, etc. The professors and instructors employed by RANEPA, both Russians and internationals are top notch and truly experienced individuals who know their subjects extensively well and have passionately studied their fields. Furthermore, this program offers you the opportunity to study Russian language for free; 6 hours per week are offered in order to improve our Russian language abilities. After finishing my studies at RANEPA in 2017, I decided to go for a PhD in Canada, the quality of the program (MSc in Project Management) and its international aspect have helped me in my application for the PhD position in operations and decision systems at Laval University in Quebec City, Canada. Moscow is a truly amazing and unique city. Like any other huge city, there is no shortage of museums, restaurants, clubs, concerts and events to attend, but in Moscow, things are just different. The history and vitality of the city really comes through and can make just walking down the street a fascinating and fun experience. Really, everything about the city is amazing except the winter, which might be a bit tough.”
Ekaterina Lugovskaya (Saburova)
Program: Magistracy PM
“Hi I am Ekaterina Lugovskaya and I have graduated with honors from Project Management program. My decision to attend the project management master's program at RANEPA in 2018-2020 came in very useful and contributed a lot to the development of my future career path. Currently I am a public relations specialist in Hyundai Motor CIS Company - one of the leading automotive brands both in Russia and abroad. I had to study and work hard in order to achieve what I have now.
Project management is one of the most popular and promising business areas nowadays. It helps to achieve great results and successfully implement various projects of any kind, scale and complexity - especially in a challenging environment we live in now. The project management educational program at RANEPA became a priceless guide into the world of delivering projects and a real boot camp focused on mastering main principles and useful techniques of project management. We also deepened our expertise in several other allied disciplines, such as crisis, change, operational and financial management as well as marketing, consulting, data analysis and what not. At the end of the program, we earned the PRINCE2 Foundation International Certificate in Project Management, which proved the high level of skills, and knowledge we managed to gain during the study.
I would also like to mention an ideal balance of theory and practice kept at RANEPA. Insightful lectures from both Russian and foreign external professors and business gurus were mixed with engaging practical tasks: case studies, hands-on projects and interesting teamwork tasks. My peers and mentors were absolutely great and we still keep in touch with most of them. I would definitely recommend the project management master's program for those who are striving for bright future and remarkable career!”
Oludola Akinterinva
Program: Magistracy PM
Nigerian Oludola Akinterinwa defended the project "Market Entry Strategy for International Business in e-commerce in Nigeria" with "excellent" and receives a red diploma of the English-speaking Master's degree in International Business Faculty of International MBA Programs of the Institute of Social Sciences (ION) Kingston/RANEPA. The graduate told how his studies at RANEPA were given to him and shared his plans.
Oludola is 27 years old, and he is not a novice in Moscow: he came to study as a chemical industry engineer at the Mendeleev Russian Technical Technical University back in 2013. He also has two entrepreneurial projects of his own – in the confectionery industry and finance. After the young man plunged headlong into business, he realized that after all, practice alone is not enough - it is necessary to master the theoretical base. For this base, the Nigerian entrepreneur came to the Master's international English-language program "International Business" of the FMP MBA ION Kingston/RANEPA.
"You will never know the result if you don't try to do it. I always tell myself that the only way to succeed in something is to start doing it, even if I'm not completely sure about the whole process. But you learn, you gain knowledge in any case, and this is the difference between success and failure. The two projects I started didn't work out because I had calculated everything properly from the beginning. I saw an opportunity, took advantage of it and studied already, so to speak, "on the go", on the way. That's why it was so important for me to get the theoretical foundations of business offered by the Kingston/RANEPA Master's program," says Oludola.
Oludola also spoke at the Moscow Summit of African Entrepreneurship in November 2019, at which he was invited to speak, about how important it is to take the first step and not stand still any longer, but to develop.
"There is no perfect time to start," he believes. "Or rather, you'll never know if you stay where you are. And when you have taken the first step, go further – study, gain knowledge and new skills in your chosen professional activity. Solving problems is the key to creating wealth."
The graduate notes how interesting the training was built on the master's program "International Business": the combination of individual and group work developed team skills and led to the building of a team. He also liked the distribution of the training load, built taking into account the fact that classes were held in the evening and were designed for people working during the day.
"I've always looked forward to classes," says Oludola Akinterinwa. – I would especially like to mention such subjects as "Operational Management", "Management Economics", "International Business Environment", "Strategies for entering new Markets", "Innovation and Project Management". It seems to me that as soon as you really immerse yourself in the topic and are really interested in what you are doing, you stop thinking about it as something incredibly difficult and unattainable. So it happened with my classes: although all the subjects were new to me and far from simple, but I got carried away and mastered them with pleasure."
Oludola Akinterinva emphasizes both the professional clarity with which he was helped to apply for the master's program, and the sense of belonging to the RANEPA student fraternity that arose during his studies through communication with other undergraduates at the institute and in his spare time.
Despite high employment and a large range of responsibilities in work and study, Oludola manages to play sports and travel. He plays basketball with friends and regularly trains on his own. I have visited Volgograd, Kursk, Sochi, Kaluga, Tver, and other cities of Russia. And he also likes to read novels, draw and do baking – it's no coincidence that his business is connected with the confectionery industry.
Ten years later, Oludola Akinterinva, holder of the red diploma, graduate of the Master's program "International Business" ION-2020, presents itself at the head of an international concern. He is guided by the motto "Work on being, not having. Be the best at what you do, and then both people and success will come to you."
